Wufang was set up in 2004 by Singapore's only World Wushu Champion, Vincent Ng. The academy was initially conceived under the umbrella of MediaCorp Studios. Wufang has since experienced tremendous success through the support of its students and their parents. As a result, it quickly outgrew the facilities. In 2005, the academy officially left MediaCorp Studios and became an independent school of its own.

With the convenience of her students in mind, Wufang has set up classes in Singapore from East to West, in Community Clubs and schools. In the heart of Singapore lies the heart of Wufang, Cairnhill Community Club as well. The academy currently has more than 500 students under its belt and plans are currently underway to set up even more locations in the heartlands.

The academy recognises that wushu teachings are based on the values of Chinese culture. These values include respect for others, humility and self discipline. Wushu can build one up physically in terms of strength, flexibility, posture and hand-eye coordination. With this in mind, Vincent set up Wufang, with the hope of sharing the benefits of wushu with as many people as possible.

However, wushu teachings need not be presented in the traditional way. Wufang will make wushu learning modern and fun without compromising on discipline and standards.

Vincent and his prolific team of instructors have brought glory to Singapore in countless regional and international competitions. With their vast experience in international wushu training and competition, they hope that Wufang will be able to produce new wushu talents that can do Singapore proud in future.
